Chronicles of Narnia

If you don't know what this series is, I'm sorry, but you've not quite lived yet.

This was the first series of books I ever read. Bored one summer, I picked up the first book (not the one the movie is based off of, that's technically the second) and started reading. I didn't stop until I'd finished all seven. Yes, they're that good.

While not of the highest reading level, C.S. Lewis takes us through a magical world that is delightful for people of all ages. The main series of 6 takes place over a decade or two in the real world, but this translates to thousands of years in Narnia, a world in dire need of heroes at the time of each novel.

It's delightful to read, sad to think about, and yet something you want to experience again and again, just to relive a few of the moments, good and bad. Lewis has a simple, yet elaborate world all his own, filled with talking animals, mythical creatures, and some good entertainment value.

As long as it's been since I've read them, I'd still pick the books back up in a heartbeat if I found the time to stop reading other things. Take a chance, and experience the world of Narnia...
