A simple room at the Silver Rose Inn, the hallway outside the door leads back to the main room. There is one somewhat large window, fringed by curtains, across from the door, and it looks out to the inner yard, and the forest beyond. The room is furnished with a four-poster bed, a desk with a quill pen and an inkwell sitting atop it. In one of the drawers are a few scraps of parchment. Near the desk is a wardrobe, with some empty hangers hanging within it, and a couple of shelves off to one side. Near the bed is another, smaller desk with a mirror above it. The floor is wood, but there is a handwoven rug to the side of the bed. On the walls are some paintings of the mountains.

Rey looks around quietly when she arrives in the room, removing her shoes by the door. Sighs, and hangs her cloak and small bag neatly on a peg. It's so frustrating to come to this, really. Even if she's far from respected in her immediate family, at least she normally has her intelligence and softspoken glibness to fall back on. Back home, at least she was respected as a noblelady by everyone unrelated...and of course she misses Chiang so much.

She sighs quietly, removes a packet of complex magical notes she's been working on, and sets them neatly on the desk beside the pen and ink.

Now what is she? A silly foreigner who understands nothing. No one has anything to respect her for now. She'd left because she wasn't fit to be married, and now what few redeeming traits she'd had are buried under the culture barrier.

Rey examines the notes for a few moments, and then no longer feels like it. She just lies down on the bed, fully clothed and atop the covers, inhuman blue eyes quiet and deeply introverted.

After awhile, something else unpleasant begins to press on her psyche...but not something from within her. So deeply, deeply upset....

Rey blinks slowly, every nice-girl instinct within her biting at her to get up. Eventually, she wipes only imagined tears from her dry eyes and stands to brush her beautiful, sometimes slightly cumbersome garments clean and smooth, and heads over to the door, a touch hesitantly. What will she even say? It's not unlikely she'll lose the right words, or even say exactly the wrong thing.

But then, what choice does she really have? She can't just leave this poor person...Yue?...alone. She slips on her shoes and heads quietly towards the door, not allowing herself to consider it any further.

When she returns a few minutes later, her thoughts are busy. So Yue's a dream walker...? How convenient, that. She slips her shoes off, lies down upon the bed again, and closes her eyes, breathing slowing, and slips away quickly.

She awakens even more suddenly, and is sprintings toward's room fourteen almost immediately, throat clenched.
