Solace in the Night
~ Roleplay ~ HOME
Run by [Ambiguous] and [Aeolynn].
The planet is home to all kinds of nocturnal species, having no daytime at all but heated by many volcanos that dot the surface. It is here where there is a battle arena where the greatest warriors fight, sometimes to the death to win the title of Champion. It is also here where a hidden and secret evil lies in wait...
It begins.
A volcano spewed magma from its mouth to the right of the crouched figure, however, he did not even blink. His lizard-like feet were standing in it, but he did not care. The person's attention was saved for one person and one person only;
her.
She hovered above the ground easily, her eyes dark and unpredictable, a trait of her species. With a swift flick of her slender wrist, she flung a ball of lava at the man's chest where his scaly skin did not protect him but he jumped deftly out of the way. He smirked, "Come on Flar, you can do better then that..."
The woman smirked back, "Look out-"
Dodging just out of the way, he barely missed being hit by the same ball of lava from behind.
Flarhuri twirled in the air with one hand raised and as she spun she gathered energy into her hand from the volcano itself. In response, the salamander-lik
e man whipped his tail in front of him, moving it in a complex pattern that began to glow red. As Flarhuri fired her power beam, the red light flared to life to surround Sialim in its pulsing protection.
Her face was completely nulled of emotion for she was focused on that beam in which Sialim took it to his advantage. Forcing the beam to the side, the man sidestepped and raced toward her with lightning speed. Flarhuri barely knew what was happening when she was suddenly pushed against the hot ground, her power protecting her from the heat.
"Gotcha."
Hetuka entered the arena with her opponent, a vargin of the north, clothed in stone armor. She took off into the air almost immediately as the vargin beast swung a heavy fist at her.
She drew her sword and hung in midair for nearly a full minute before leaping downwards at a deadly speed. Her sword tore through the stone armor easily, and she turned, lashing out with the claw on her elbow, burrowing it into the beast's hollow chest.
He gasped as a stinging pain filled him before stumbling back, clutching at the wound. Hetuka lowered her arms and gazed at him as he clutched at the bleeding wound, "I'd give up now if you want to live." She said simply.
"How did you know?" He questioned, eyes wide with astonishment.
"Know what?" She cocked her head.
"That my main artery is in my chest cavity."
"I studied the make-up of a vargin while in the east." She said simply, "You have to study your opponents well in order to learn of their weaknesses if you plan to survive a battle."
With her final words he collapsed and Hetuka was named the victor of the battle. She hadn't even gotten a good challenge that time, and Hetuka merely left the arena without a sound, leaving the vargin to the mercy of the arena.
