Throughout WritersCo you may come across some terms that you do not understand and can often confuse and take the fun away from some areas. To help ease this we have created a reference list of all the terms that you might not understand, and where you would find them.
Uploading Writings: License:
These terms relate to the current license of your particular piece of writing. They are:
Public Domain
These are documents that are not protected by copyright, and are basically free to use by the public.
GNU Documentation Reading
This form of license is designed for manuals that are free to distribute, and are known to be copyleft.
Free for reading
You are permitted to read this anywhere, so public reading is permitted.
Free for private usage
You are permitted to read the work but only in private, public readings are not permitted.
Not Free
This means that you must pay to read the material, perhaps the owner has added an abstart to interest you to purchase their book.

Copyleft
A form of licensing that encourages the distribution of software at no charge for noncommercial uses.
Copyright
The legal right granted to an author, composer, playwright, publisher, or distributor to exclusive publication, production, sale, or distribution of a literary, musical, dramatic, or artistic work.
