"Exactly, he just gets in my way. What i said was true i just can't help but feel like i need to care about someone or need someone to care about me, and thats not a fake dream, i believe people can care for others, truly...." Faith is saved by the arrival of their food and drinks.
Spike falls asleep on the floor
"Hm," Kaigen takes a long gulp of refreshing water, "were you ever betrayed?" Kaigen tentatively places a fry into her mouth.
Faith hears the question and begins to drink not wanting to answer she keeps drinking until the whole bottle is gone, setting it down on the counter she realizes Kaigen is still waiting for her to answer. "yes...." she replies slowly, hoping she didn't have to give details
"I suppose that my questions are far too numerous, but in order to truly trust someone, it is best to know more about them- both the good and the bad." Kaigen says, "Would you mind telling me about it?"
"I guess not...um.." Faith hesitates, Kaigen is right, "afterall i would like to know more about you also..... I was betrayed by my own mother. She had men in and out of that house....One of which was a vampire who bit Spike-Spike went on to bite me-anyways her last boyfriend would....do things to me, horrible things, but when i told my mother she kicked me out, i left the village, and everyone there and never looked back. I never want to." Faith looks somber and doesn't finish her fries. "I'm tired, are you ready?"
Kaigen hungrily finishes the last of her fries and water. "We should go back to the room then." She says, standing, "and then I will tell you of my own betrayals."
"Alright, it can wait til tomorrow if you don't want to talk about it. But i am also just here to listen if you do want to talk about it." Faith orders a few bottles of water to go pays and gets up, "You'll need the water for later, you did lose A Lot of blood."
Kaigen then leads the way back up to their room in thoughtful silence, "I will tell you about my betrayals." She says at last.
Spike wakes up and just lays there on the floor after hearing his name. he sighs when he gets his history wrong because his dad was the vamp lord before Sephens dad killed him. and then Spike killed Sephends dad. Spike sighs hoping that sephen dosnt know that he killed his dad
Kaigen goes back over to the window- a place that she found oddly comfortable- and sits on the ledge for the second time that evening. "15 years ago, when I had just barely begun my third year, the villagers near my home attacked and killed my parents for a union that they found to be 'blasphemous.' For five years I was passed between homes, worked and tortured to the brink of death.
When I reached my eighth year I fled the village and have been on my own since then. The first companion that I found was when I had been alone for a year, I was half-starved by that time. He feigned loyalty to me, and swore that I could trust him always. He led me right back to the place I had fled and collected a nice sum of money for my capture." Kaigen stares at her hands, "Everytime I met someone who swore their loyalty to me... Every one of them lied, their ulterior motives appearing too late for me to avoid the consequences.
My past is full of pain, and my body bears the results of those years."
