Pondering...
Why the lack of interest in some of the wikis under Writer's Challenges/Fun
I didn't realize there was a Writing Critique wiki until today. By the looks of things there, I'm thinking others may have overlooked it as well.
It's always nice to be read. Especially when we put such hard work into our craft. We should also dedicate some time to reading and commenting on our fellow writers. We all deserve our work to get some attention IMO, and an honest crit helps the one giving as well as the one receiving.
peace out
Kind of a drag. I heard about this neat new writing group at a site my fiance belonged to. It was supposed to be there to help writers become better writers through contests and exercises. Joining, I found it was better than I imagined...a writing group where people actually participated, and where my own involvement was welcome and appreciated. I havn't had this much fun in a coon's age.
But now I learn that people are unhappy that the group even exists here and that the groups own existance is now threatened do to some drama I had nothing to do with.
There's a lot of cool stuff on this site and there should be room for all of it.
A bit of news concerning my writings. I've started a new project entitled "The Staff of Illidon". It's a D&D style fantasy story. It's shaping up to be about the length of a novelette. I'm uploading the chapters to my writings at writersco.com (exclusively for now) so that members can read it without leaving the site. Praise be to my wonderful fiance [Po] who has helped immensely with proofreading and editing!

Hey, I'm Gene and I'm new here. I'm not much of a competative type so I really don't mind if I win the contests I enter or not. Just having fun and trying to hone my writing skills. Say hello or something since you are here. I like meeting new people. :D
