Description:
Hello, all! I found this website and was curious. So I decided to apply!
I love to write anything from short stories to poems and even song lyrics.
Reading them is great too! I like reading other people's short stories, and it surely helps if they don't mind a little constructive criticism from time to time. XD
So I guess you could call me both a reader and a writer, but I labeled myself as a reader because most likely after my initial uploads, I probably won't upload more later. We'll see though.
Having said that, when I read through a story, I get distracted by typographical errors easily. So misspellings are not very pleasant to stumble over.
Which is where the majority of my criticism is focused.
The other minority is usually focussed on story line, grammar mistakes, and the phraseology/ words used in a particular order.
I love it when a story flows, when the sentences just fit together like long lost pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
I guess I should talk about my writings now, huh?
Well, I'd have to say my favorite genres are romance, fantasy, and sci-fi, and it certainly helps those genres if there's a bit of adventure and or mystery mixed in those.

The Reason I Write, The Shortened Story.
Growing up, I came through a rough childhood, and hence have an issue with expressing myself sometimes the way that I want to.
Writing help me with that.
It releases some of my frustrations and calms me when I'm angry, upset, or have other emotions that are difficult to deal with or talk about.
I will post one of my short stories right here on my profile.
You don't have to like it, but if you do, message me about it. : )

Clouded Scott
He sat there, silently. Watching him carefully. Taking in his actions, or more so, his facial expressions. He wondered something, but dare he ask?
Slightly flustered by his silence, Cloud couldn't take it anymore; he had to know what exactly was on Scott's mind. He felt uncomfortable asking exactly that question so he decided on just, "What?"
After a slight pause, Scott replied, "Would you tell me?"
"Tell you what?"
"If I was wrong... Would you tell me?"
"Yes, of course I would. You know that." He laughed, thinking back to the times that he had pointed out his mistakes and miscalculation
s. But then, when he looked back to Scott, he saw he wasn't nearly as amused as he was. This concerned him, "Wait, what do you mean?" Cloud restated. After a small silence he admitted "I don't understand what you're getting at..."
Looking back at Cloud, Scott couldn't hide the hurt, the pain, the frustration, or the confusion that rode so close to the surface of his being. Cloud could see it in his eyes. Looking slightly away, Scott replied, "Never mind. It's nothing."
After a brief pause that seemed to go on forever, Cloud said, "I don't think it's nothing," After another short pause, he added, "What is it?"
Scott sighed and was silent for a while. He didn't know how to word what he was thinking, what he was feeling in the right way. "... If I was wrong... If I was wrong in l-l..." turning his head back slightly to look at him, he carefully looked at Cloud's eyes, at his face, taking in the muscle movements just beneath the surface of his smooth skin. He saw in his hazel eyes a sense of wariness; they were guarded but, in a way, seemed curious. With this sense of small support to continue, he did. "If I was wrong in... loving you... would you tell me?"
Shocked, Cloud just sat there, silent. No one knew what was going through Cloud's mind just then, not even himself. So Scott sat there, wondering, scared. He just showed a side of himself that no one knew about before now. Not even he was admitting to allow himself to think such thoughts before this night, and now, he laid everything on the line, hoping his effort, his trust, wasn't going to be thrown away...
But now Scott was getting scared that his fears were coming into reality. Cloud wasn't answering, he was just staring; maybe he should leave?
As soon as Scott started to get up, something grabbed his wrist. It was Cloud. He looked at him and there was an emotion so apparent making his eyes shine in a way Scott had never before seen from him. He didn't know what it was and that scared him, but as he spoke, he recognized it, even though it didn't register in his mind. "No."
"No?"
"No." Cloud repeated.
"Why?"
Cloud gently pulled Scott closer to himself, keeping his hazel eyes locked on Scott's honey colored eyes. The emotion in his eyes still not clicking in Scott's mind burned so strong that Scott swore if it were a fire, he surely would have been burned. They were so close that when Cloud breathed, his breath was like a gentle caress across Scott's cheek and when he spoke it nearly lit his skin aflame, "No, I would not tell you that you loving me was wrong because your love could never be wrong." And with that Scott finally understood everything that Cloud was showing that night.
Cloud felt the same way.
They were in love.
When they kissed that first time, that very moment, it was the most wonderful feeling either had ever felt in their entire lives.
