Heehee. My speaking is influenced by the media I take in, too. Especially old movies.

*Grins* I had a class where, when we got to the end of To Kill a Mockingbird, one guy said "Ok, so like, I don't understand. Was one of those guys black?" and then the rest of the class piped up and all yeah "yeah! What was with that anyway? Was he black?" "No! It was the kid who was black!" "No it wasn't, omg, there weren't any black people, everyone knows that black people weren't in America then yet!"
..... I somehow feel that they didn't follow the story o.o

Oh boy, you should hear me for a week after I've watched an old western movie >:P

I haven't read that one, that is a book that is for independent reading in our class.

I bet they didn't even read it... geez.... that is SO bad! It is such a good story! I was the first to finish it, because I couldn't pu it down! I understood every bit of it!, until the worksheets came, lol. God... Calpurnia, the revrened, the peopel on the balcony, Tom Robinson, were all black! If they'd payed attention, they would have known that!

I know the feeling..... *sigh* romance novels are the best.... *dreams*

They're both Canadian, so our teachers cover them with a sense of pride.

I know, but the sad thing is that I think they may actually have read the entire book, and simply couldn't follow what was going on ;)

Hehe, the romance itself is just a nice side effect to me, I'm rather interested in historic fiction :3
Not well informed enough to write any, without it being regurgitation of what I've read in other fiction, but maybe one day... :P
