When the genie Etinifni Infinite built the Redwood Light Tavern, a certain book of fairy tales was accidentally lost in the magical field surrounding this particular hall. The five gates in this hall were supposed to link to existing worlds via a complex set of spells, but instead, several pages from the fairy tale book were pulled into each gate. The worlds that were born from the pages very closely, but not perfectly, mimic the tales told in the book, and on occasion, produce their share of trouble for those in the Redwood Light.

Hasu Directory

In this swirling world of scattered texts, ink, and paper, two platforms form out of solid light. Amidst the electric blue glow of this maelstrom, ghostly image floats above one.

"Hey... who are you?" she asks, waving her blue-cast, translucent hands. "You aren't supposed to be here."

Isaiah opens his eyes cautiously. "I'm... Isaiah," he says after a long moment. "Where am I? And why aren't I supposed to be here?"

"This is the hall of lost pages," the specter answers. "No one comes here. This is where unbound stories go." She floats down, circles the boy a few times. "Isaiah, huh? Where are you from?"

"Hasu Vale," he replies. "I live in a treehouse with my Momma and Papa." He watches her for a moment, then, "Wait... what do you mean, 'unbound stories'?"

"Stories that have come out of their books. Magic." The ghost waves her hand, and five distinct doors appear on Isaiah's platform. "Real worlds. One of them probably has a gateway back to your home, they generally do. If someone gets lost."

Adventure!

Isaiah takes a step forward, hesitating. "Before I go..." he says, turning around, "What's your name?"

"Tuletina." The ghost smiles. "Or just Tina. Or Tulip."

He returns the smile. "Goodbye, Tuletina..." and steps through one of the doors. Adventure awaits.
