Background: I'll never know.

About: A faery who minds her own business, until she is taken in by a curious little boy. Instead of his curiosity killing himself, it kills the nameless faery. One of my favorite pieces, by myself and my readers. Worth the read. It has pictures to go with it to, graciously drawn by 2 artists.

2005-12-31 Kuzco: This story made me shiver...well done. The words are well chosen, as is the rythm of the story which is balanced and yet curious.
I only think the fairie should have shown signs of desperation more...accentuated. It's a tragic end for a living being and I think her pain isn't "worked" as much as it could.
Very good read overall, cheers. :D

2005-12-31 Emily: That's something I never could master, about her pain. I suppose it's because she's not really human, but... I don't know. Thanks for the input, though! This story is usually a favorite among the artists -- I've had a few people draw illustrations. Now just to figure out how to post them here!

I will have to re-write and post The Sycamerette's Tale, though.

2006-01-01 Kuzco: The Sycamerette's tale? You could just imput the ilustrations in the end of the story, in the very own doc file.

2006-01-01 Emily: I should. Now to dig them out of my HDD...

Yup, The Sycamerette's Tale. I wrote it shortly after completing this one. It's more comical than anything else. It won a contest in Elfwood's Woodwork e-Zine, a couple of years ago.

2006-01-01 Kuzco: hehe, wow. is it in your writtings here?

2006-01-02 Emily: No, it's not, as of yet. Lost the story a couple years ago. The edited version, at least.

2006-01-02 Kuzco: aww...
