Nim lives in the modern world, but acts from the past. She has spent almost all of her young life as an apprentice to the Voodoo Priestess Kauna, and has finally begun to accomplish things. But, almost as soon as she becomes great, it is snatched away. She messes up, and has all of higher class magics suspended.

The teenager sees this as an eternal tradegy. She is upset beyond belief, and in her distressed grief, she is seen by a teenage boy. A boy from the city. The world of the modern Voodoo Priestesses is a secret one. He temporarily has his memory hidden from him, but it will return soon. Now, Nim must try to stop the boy from telling the world of her existance, before her entire life and the life of those around her comes crashing down.

This means one thing: Highschool. She must attend the boy's school, and befriend him enough to keep him silent as his memory slowly comes back to him...
