A collection of weapons I designed for character classes. Yes, it's Final Fantasy based, but I don't think this counts as 'fanfiction' since I actually intend to use them for a game... hopefully. (

Character Class: Mage/Summoner
Weapon Type: Staff/Rod
Name: Crimson Fatali
Weight: 2 lbs
Range: Medium
Description: A Dragon Tail Shaped, 4 foot rod with a Blood Red Ruby situated neatly on the tip.
History: Originally the actual tail of a small dragon, the Crimson Fatali was created from the dragon's tail moment before death, preserving a small amount of life inside. Once removed, the tail froze into place and the life force formed the ruby at the end where it was once connected to a rather peaceful creature.
Special Skills: Although fairly simple as rods and wands go, because this one was made from a dragon's tail it boasts extraordinary stability and endurance. In a test of this it once was dropped from the sky and then a rather large boulder was dropped atop of it. When the dust cleared, the rod lay quietly on the earth, the 20 ton boulder laying in rubble around it.
Magical skills: Among the many capablities of this rod, it is able to let any weilder cast extremely powerful flame magics, as well as Flare.
Limit Breaks:
-Dragon's Breath Crimson Fatali glows with its previous life's spirit and then blasts forth a column of eternal hellfire from it's tip.
-Reconnected Strength Tossing it into the air, flames burst out around the staff in the shape of a dragon which incinerates all who stand in its path.
-Resurrect's Torrent Weilding the staff the used becomes engulfed in dragonfire and harnessing this energy, slams the rod into the ground causing a terrifying column of draconic fire to erupt and obliterate all enemies


Character Class: Warrior/Fighter
Weapon Type: Twin Katanas
Name: Reakon and Nokaer
Weight: 10 lbs (Together)
Range: Long
Description: A pair of long bladed Katanas. Reakon's blade gives off a soft white glow, while Nokaer gives of a faint black glow.
History: Forged because of a special request by a king in a distant land, they blacksmith feared the awesome destructive power of both blades being used at once. So he placed an unbreakable spell which made it so only those with malice in their hearts could weild Nokear, and only those who fought for good could touch Reakon's hilt. The only way to truly weild both swords at once is to have a heart of pure balance, one neither dedicated to evil, nor sworn for good.
Special Skills: While they may not seem so, each blade is extremely light in comparison to their hilts. Which makes for amazing swing speeds and easy control for those who know how to weild them. The blades also will never dull due to the spells placed upon them.
Magical skills:
-Reakon teaches its user how to cast simple supportive skills such as cure, shell, protect, haste and float.
-Nokaer prefers to have its weilder learn harmful spells such as cruse, zombie, poison, slow, mute and stone.
Limit Breaks:
-Reakon: The Last Light Gathering energy into the blade, the world turns blacker and blacker until only the light of the blade may be seen. Without warning both user and blade slice through targeted opponents, leaving little left but ribbons.
-Nokear: Unholy Truth The blade's dark nature is sent fully into the one who holds it, and then both sword and player viciously slaughter all within their sight.
-Together: Clash of Eternity As the world fades away, only the twin weapons, their sole weilder and those unfortunate souls who dared to challenge them are left. Time seems to stop and the twins unleash a series of devastating brutality upon their victims. When all is done, all traces of opposition vanish from time and space, while the world reforms around them.


Character Class: Theif/Assassin
Weapon Type: Dagger/Knife
Name: 7th Trick
Weight: .5 lbs
Range: Short
Description: With a blade formed from pure shadows, and an otherwise simplistic handle, this dagger looks almost nothing out the ordinary. Other than the polished black gem imbedded in the hilt, this knife could nearly pass off as any ordinary kitchen utensil.
History: Created a few years after the original 6 Tricks, The 7th Trick was made by the combined efforts of the 6 original smiths. However, because of the dark nature and the evilness contained in the blade, they decided that it would have to be hidden from the world, as destroying such a weapon would have been a waste. So taking the blade and wrapping it in cloth, they cast it down into a chasm at the end of the earth, praying that none would come to find it. The blade need not be found. However, in the blackness at the bottom of the chasm, it was able to escape and find its way into the hands of the greatest silent killers known in the land. For years it has been passed down, used only at night, for the only thing the blade fears is light.
Special Skills: Weighing rather little compared to most blades, it is known to be more easily weilded. However the blade's sharpness and power depend solely upon the amount of darkness around it. In the shadows of a moonless night, this blade contains more power than any other weapon known to man.
Magical skills: Preferring the black of night and silent kills, this blade teaches its weilders to use blind, poison and vanish.
Limit Breaks:
-Without Words From the shadows of night, 7th Trick steals away, vanishing along with its user into the dark. When the light clears, a randomly targeted enemy lays dead for all to see.
-No Trace Gathering all the dark energy available, the blade and weilder charge, unleashing a furious series of cuts too quick to be seen. When it's all over, its victims suffer greatly from their poisoned wounds.
-The Will of the 7 Summoning the other 6 Tricks, all 7 daggers fly around and seem to almost laugh insanely as their victims are slain, one by one, without mercy. (please note, possession of the other 6 Tricks is required for this limit)


Character Class: Ranger/Archer
Weapon Type: Long Bow
Name: Aerin's Hope
Weight: 10 lbs
Range: Very Long
Description: Standing at around 8 feet high and created from an ancient wood which only exists in small amounts today, and with a string forged from forgotten materials, its very existence is only present because of the angered pheonix which burnt down a forest. The bow is so finely shaped and alluring that it has been treasured and valued by merchants and theifs alike for centuries.
History: Despite its extreme beauty, this bow is rather choosy about its owner. In fact after having first been discovered, the bow felt that its owner was unworthy and somehow made its way back to the entrance of the Cave of Trials were it can still be found today. Because of this, warriors and merchants of all sorts have come to try and claim the bow by proving themselves in the cave. So far, none have proved themself to the bow, and it's thought that none truly can.
Special Skills: With its length and strength so great, the bow has been known to shoot a single arrow over a 1000 yards and still hit its target with unnatural accuracy. However your ability to weild the weapon is based on how well you do in the trials, and how much it approves of you.
Magical skills: Preferring to enhance its owner and its own abilities, Aerin's Hope teaches Haste, A few Fire magics, Float and the summon magic Pheonix.
Limit Breaks:
-Just Fire! Loading an entire quiver of arrows onto the bow, all are launched high into the air, piercing through all enemies, and allowing them to know what Swiss Cheese feels like.
-Arrow Burst Taking arrows rapidly from the quiver and pulling back far on the bow, the user lets loose arrows whose speed causes them to ignite and burn into their enemies bodies, often causing deadly explosions.
-Resurrection of Flames With the last arrow, the wielder takes it and pulls it as far back as the bow can go. Then, with their last ounce of strength, fire it into the air and summon the mighty pheonix which created the bow. Fully reviving all of it's allies, and burning it targets to ash (Please note: This limit is only used when the weilder dies when a limit break is possible)


Character Class: Dragoon/Lancer
Weapon Type: Spear/Lance
Name: Krella Braet
Weight: 75 lbs
Range: Long
Description: Made from a timelessly crafted stalagmite and carved with careful precision by many many hands, this lance is defined by the sharp, serrated spike rings that point towards its tip, giving it an even deadlier attack. Every point is sharpened so that even the slightest prick will cause you to bleed.
History: After the completion of this magnificent spear, it was claimed that no normal man could weild it without seriously wounding anything and everything around him. So the final craftsman decided to hold a tournament for the weapon. The flyers said "Come all who believe they can weild a lance without equal!" and so they did, hundreds of thousands all lined up for the test. Interestingly enough, the test was rather simple in idea, but nearly impossible to complete. Each contestant would have to take a 30 foot pole with a needle attatched to the end. Then all they needed was to hit an exact bullseye while standing 33 feet from the target. In the end, only a single man was able to do it, a local cobbler who worked for pennies. Upon obtaining the weapon the old, thin man amazingly lifted it up with ease and carried it home.
Special Skills: This spear is able to peirce through nearly anything. In fact, it has even been known to cut diamonds by simply running along side them. But while it offers great power and a deadly touch, its extreme weight makes it nearly impossible to properly weild.
Magical skills: Interestingly enough, the weapon prefers to teach it's user rather powerful curing techniques, though for what reason is yet unknown, the best guess is that it expects accidents to happen. The user can learn: Curaga (cure3), Life3 (Full Life), Full Cure and Regen.
Limit Breaks:
-A Little Prick In a quick, precise movement the lances weilder launches into the air and then comes back down to stab whatever unfortunate enemy gets in it's way and send them to hell.
-Tear 'Em Through Leaving no time for thought, the lance is hurled into the air with it's user following. A little while later both come down and stop 10 feet in the air before rapidly stabbing through all enemies.
-Last Resort With a slow, sloppy jump that leaves the lance's owner open to attack, both come down with surprisingly deadly accuracy, slamming into the ground and causing great explosions of rocks, all almost as sharp as the spear itself.


Character Class: Mime
Weapon Type: Great Maul
Name: Mirror Maul
Weight: 200 lbs
Range: Long
Description: An extremely heavy great maul made from the heaviest and most durable substance in the known world. What exactly this substance is and how it was harnessed isn't yet known though. The actual smashing area is shaped like a star, also for reasons unknown. In fact, the entire maul is a complete mystery besides the handle. Which happens to be made of a nicely carved peice of ancient mahogany.
History: Since there is no actual record of it's forgery, much less where or when it could have even formed, it has been claimed that we do not know of a large portion of this weapon's past. All we do know, is that over the years, any man strong enough and brave enough to weild the maul has never faced a defeat in battle. It has split the ground to stop advancing armies, crushed legions of men with single swings and even once shook an entire city to rubble when slammed into the ground. All those who have ever encountered say two things about the greatness of this 'Mirror Maul': "Those who weild it are gods." and "Those who fight these gods are served as pancakes the next morning."
Special Skills: Besides boasting enourmous strength, Mirror Maul has the ability to 'Mimic' almost any technique used against it. In fact, that's where it's nickname originated.
Magical skills: None
Limit Breaks:
-Double Mimic A simple skill that mimics the enemies last technique, except with double power.
-Super Doppleganger By swinging the maul around quickly, a mirror double appears next to the weilder. Then both slam their mauls into the enemy, crushing the unfortunate fool flatter than paper.
-Law of Duplication Using a hidden technique of mimicry, the user is able to forsee his opponents attack and use it before they can. However since not every technique is usable with a maul, it's not always prudent to use this technique.


Character Class: Moogle
Weapon Type: Bladed Boomerang
Name: Mini Mooglerang
Weight: 0.2 lbs
Range: Long
Description: A carved peice of 5,000 year old Oak wood which shines a gentle white, even in dark places. Along the edge of the entire weapon are small, serrated spines made from mythril ore, adding more whiteness to it's color and shine. Besides that, it is rather small in size so that moogles can weild it and when held up into the light the faint traces of a moogle dancing can be made out across the flat side.
History: Originally made by humans as a gift to the moogles, which they had once been in a fued with, as an offering of peace and good will. The moggles of course, accepted it with pleased expressions and greats cheers of 'Kupo! Kupo!' and those other small cheers which humans have trouble understanding. Since then, it has simply been passed down through generations and families, or to whomever the owner chooses to give it to. It should be noted that this weapon has seen little battle in it's life though, as Moogles are not prone to violent confrontation for the most part.
Special Skills: Besides being handy for moogles, it has always come back after being thrown. And despite what most people would think, doesn't hurt to catch at all.
Magical Skills: Since most moogles aren't magic users in the first place, the people who made it didn't think much of magical abilities. However the mythril blades do allow for cure, haste and regen to be cast, but not that often.
Limit Breaks:
-Ring Around the Monsters After the Mooglerang is thrown, it circles around all opponents 3 times, slicing them at random before returning to the throwers hand
-Boom Rush By spinning around several times to gain speed, the boomerang is released and tears through a single enemy for massive damage, then calmly returns
-Let's Dance! With a soft throw that seems like nothing, the moogle begins to dance. As if inspired by said dancing, the boomerang begins to weave through it's enemies, shredding each until the tired little mog decides to end his/her dance
