NOTE: Just for those who don't know, which will probably be most of you, Elemental Darkness is an RP at ET and it was so popular that I decided to make a branch off of it here.
For questions as to how and what the elements are and key info about the transformation

It begins...
The night air was foggy, thick with the bluish hued smoke that clung to everything and everyone. To Sen it was only a hindrance. It covered the ground, hiding it and slowing his movements. The Jqura he was tracking was good, but he was better. He had been trained by the best, then re-trained by some... otherworldly force that turned out to be simply, another more experienced being from another rift.
The air that escaped Sen's mouth created a small cloud around his face that he impatiently waved away. The sweat that trickled down into his eyes was evaporated with a slight thought as he stared through the ghostly underbrush with deadly intent. There! Movement in the mist. The hissing of Jqura voices. Sen's eyes narrowed as he tried to see them with his heat enhanced vision.
There was only supposed to be one.
In the end, it was the hindering mist that saved him. His shadow in the fog created an illusion of increased depth to the colorblind gaze of a Jqura that happened to try to sever the Fireborne's spine. The implike creature only managed to cut through the cloak and skin, spraying crimson blood on the surrounding foliage. Sen barely managed to withhold a scream of pain as he lashed out with a tomahawk and sliced through the Jqura's muzzle and skull, cutting though bone and brain matter in an instant. The bell on the end of his earring tinkled angrily... or in warning? Sen knew he was surrounded even if he couldn't see all of them however their growling was enough to come up with a rough number. One Jqura was deadly enough but a hundred...
He was swarmed over in mere seconds.
"Mmm, what do we have here?" Kaelorra said as she bent low to the ground staring at the one spot of ground with her graceful eyebrows furrowed. She stood up straight and looked to her companion with a look of confusion and slight fear, " -Its a... a Jqura claw print."
"I hate those bastards...you never know how strong they can be. You think it's anything to worry about?" Lee'tak asked, yawning at the end.
Kali shrugged, "They don't like the light... so we should be safe since the sun just peaked over the mountains..." The forest was still shrouded in fog. As she swept her gaze around at the trees she suddenly gasped, the fog rolling away from her as if in pain and the bodies of Jqura were revealed. "There was a battle here..." She whispered.
"That's a lot of bodies... I mean, more than I've seen together. Only a borne could do this right? I mean... then I see fog, the grass is all burnt. Can you tell how long as passed?" Lee'tak inquires, using too many words as usual. "Maybe he or she needs help."
"Yes, " She replied softly, "-they most likely do need help, considering there is a lot of blood here that isn't Jqura..." Kali continued to survey the events with an experienced eye. "This happened in the middle of the night, a man cam through here, tracking one Jqura then was surrounded by..." She looked up with wide brown eyes at Lee'tak, "-hundreds..."
Lee'tak looked back at her, worried. He thought for a second, looking around and then proposed:
"Hum...if there's only a few hours parting us, I can do a sweep of the area and find him, in my lightning form. But I'm reluctant to leave you alone. Furthermore, he must be in a very bad mood and I don't feel like fighting a pissed off borne." Lee'tak reviewed his words quickly, like his conscious always did and found that he did not like his last, so he quickly added. "But we obviously have to help. What do you think?"
"Do it, I'll be fine alone." She patted his shoulder on tip-toes, the highest spot she could reach before smiling, "And besides, I doubt he is conscience considering the amount of blood he lost, but find him?"
"Alright." He put his hand on Kaelorra's head and gently pushed her back "-stand back... and witness the power of ELECTRICITYYYY!!" Lee'tak shouted excited as he spinned on his foot turning, from toe to head, into a lightning being. The lightning wings show up on both his feet, while his skin went from human into static like if it was alive and twitching. His eyes beamed of electricity yellow with lightning blue specks blinking from within. Finally, a line of golden electric something gave his already dark hair golden yellow highlights. He stopped spinning, turned to Kaelorra and said, in a cheesy way, "Be back in a flash...thunder flash!" He set of running leaving nothing but his static presence to accompany the surroundings for a few seconds. He ran right straight looking for a cavern he knew to be around there, he could feel the different gathering of energy there, because it was close of course. But not a soul was there, he only stopped for a milli-second to look before setting off again.
After a few minutes, Lee'tak shows up before Kaelorra holding on to a borne's body. "Sorry I took so long. It doesn't seem serious but I can't be sure." Lee'tak said, laying the unconscious body carefully on the ground, before Kaelorra. "Can you help him?" Lee'tak asked, worried.
She rolled her eyes while giggling, "Ever the show off..." Kali placed her childlike hands on the body and moved the cloak away from the borne's bloody face and cringed. Large gashes covered the borne's torso and his breathing was slightly labored, his clothing nearly drenched in Jqura and his own blood. "- I hope my healing powers can cover all of this..."
Lee'tak transformed back into his normal form without the spinning this time. He sat down while offering his aid:
"Tell me if there's anything I can do to help. I can always make a run for some village and get help...or maybe get some medicine or....sorry...I'll let you concentrate, just tell me if you need me," He puts his arms around his knees and watches attentively.
"By the light of Josefene! This borne is a handful!" She giggled to herself for a second before going serious again. "He is in need of extensive work..." Kaelorra felt around for a moment, fingering cuts that were more severe than the rest. After a few minutes of healing Kali sits back out of breath, " I-I will... need help..." Her brown eyes met Lee'tak's, "He's still... not out of harms way... go get help!"
Lee'tak sighed, "You always scare me when you run out of breath..." Lee'tak commented before transforming into his lightning form. "You better be alright when I come back."
He thought about what to do for a moment, he couldn't carry them both, not fast, and he couldn't risk damaging the body with a run anyways. He'd have to go back to a village and find some healer or some healing stuff. "Be back in a flash," Lee'tak said, disappearing with a little thunder noise.
He ran as fast as he could and in a minute he reached the village, transforming back into normal so not to scare anyone. He ran normally around the village looking for something. He got bandages and some very good healing herbs, according to a merchant. Lee'tak was running back out when he saw a large amount of dead bodies lying in the streets and dismembered in the gutters. "What the...?" He cautiously walked around the scene until he got in the tavern but saw nothing. "Do as you learned..." Lee'tak told himself as he sniffed the blood "-this stinks... in more way than one." He hid the medicines safe in a part of his garments and got out of the tavern; the killing had happened after he had gotten in the village, but he could still tell the fresher bodies from the... less fresher bodies. He followed the trail of blood to the wall where he sees a young girl, getting up from a crouched position, engulfing the remaining of a black fog.
"Holy crap!" Lee'tak whispered, intimidated after sensing it, immediately transforming into his lightning form. "Calm down... maybe she had reason to do this." Unnoticed, Lee'tak stepped forward changing his mind immediately. "On the other hand, I got a GOOD Borne dying and Kali waiting for me...I don't have the time for this, can't risk it. Gah, I hate runnin'" Lee'tak complained as he turned around and ran out of the village, circling it and heading back to the dying borne. "I just hope this doesn't come around to bite me in the future. What am I saying? OF COURSE this will come around to bite me, circumstances like to bite me!"
Naji sat at the table at the edge of the tavern looking over the hustle and bustle of the small business. She looked carefully at the greed of people as they waltzed around picking up prostitutes and than took them upstairs. She focused on one man, he was heavy set, and she meant in his wallet. He looked over and waved for her to come over.
'Play time' whispered a excited voice inside of her head. Naji stood up and brushed her hair back out of her eyes. She carefully touched her small doll she carried in her leather side bag and felt brave enough to kill. She walked slowly over and several of the ###### around the man smiled.
The man looked up at the girl and smiled showing his black and yellow teeth. His hair was gray and slick as if it had never been washed. He motioned for Naji to sit on his lap and she did so acting like she would enjoy herself. The man held up her back and placed a hand on her leg. “Well, would you like to earn some gold today you pretty little girl?”
"If you insist," Naji said as she slowly reached down into her leather boot and pulled out a long knife. Her knife was at least thirteen inches long, slightly rusted and had dried blood over it. Stabbing it into the man, right in between the ribs that covered his heart and she smiled as she began to laugh. "So sinful... so greedy, I hope you enjoy your time in Hell." She kicked the man down and the #####'s looked down at their once, considered alive pimp. The women began to scream and Naji placed her leg on his stomach and grabbed the knife, slowly pulling it out using the corpse as an anchor. ’Good job Naji. We are standing in the middle of a tavern full of people! I really do hope they kill you, I would like to have a new mistress.’
“It’s the killer, Naji!” Yelled a voice from the back of the tavern and the thief she smiled and began to giggle. She turned and ran, her leather boots propelling her farther than the villagers could run but then she came to a slight problem. Naji had forgotten that around this city, there is a large wall, a very large wall. The wall was made from granite stone blocks and was at least fifteen feet in height.
"Naji, if they kill me they kill you... I think." Naji said to the voice in her head. She threw her knife over the wall and grabbed a string out of her pouch. Naji, grabbing up her blonde hair in her hands and making the string keep it out of her face, turned and saw the villagers coming fast.
'Let me handle this! Your likely to get killed.'
“I can handle this without more death Nami.” Naji set her hand firmly on the top of a block in the wall and found a footing as she slowly began to climb. She gasped and felt her foot slipping. Naji’s right foot fell back to the dirt and her body followed.
Naji cried out in pain as a floating purple cloud covered her body. She slowly began to stand up and gasping for air and cried out. The villagers stopped and began to crowd around. Naji’s body, inch by inch, was soon covered with bright purple smog that pulled her upright and tried to calm her.
'It's less painful if you breath.'
The cloud stood up and walked a ways into the center of the people who now fled. She released her power, killing all in sight and fled back into Naji.
After a few minutes he finally found Kali anxiously waiting. "Sorry sorry sorry sorry!" he said so fast it was gibberish, he transformed back and explained, embarrassed, "Sorry for taking so long. I got lost on the way back..." Lee'tak then looked at the mysterious and mortally wounded Borne and asked, "Am I too late?"
Kaelorra looked up startled for a second before she recognized Lee'tak and presented a nervous smile, "No, he's been doing... strangely okay, but the poison from the Jqura's claws has seared deep into his blood. Please tell me you remembered about the poison and brought Reibaynes root?" She chuckled, "Its just slightly important."
"Hum..." Lee'tak mumbled nervously, handing the bag to Kaelorra. "I told the guy I might need something to cure venom. He gave me something. Is it in there?" He asked.
She pulled out a plant with blood red roots that faded to a greenish blue at the leaves, "Bingo!" Smirking, the Lightborne sits down to make a poultice, grinning all the while. When she was finished and the plant applied to the rest of the Borne's wounds she sat back and sighed, slightly dizzy as she leaned back.
"Finally you take a breather. You shouldn't risk your health so much you know? That annoys me hehe." Lee'tak comments with a complement tone and a mild laugh, he was crouching right next to Kaelorra. "Is he going to be alright?" He asked, then quickly added as a reflex, "Are you?"
"I'm... fine, I just need to rest a little, so does he," Kali turned and smiled at the Lightningborne, "Just because when I heal it takes my health from me, it is simply my energy that it takes... " Her eyes turned to look back at the injured man, "Now if I tried to heal one that is dead, that my friend, would kill me."
"I know, I've heard that before, many times. But I'm a slow learner when it comes to the cost of sacrifices." Lee'tak smiled. "Well!" Lee'tak said out loud all of a sudden; he got up and moved towards his metallic stick, loosened a bag that was wrapped to it and came back to Kaelorra, opening it. "If it's energy you need, then I'm gonna feed you. I took the liberty of packing food. Tell me, you're on a meat day? Herbs day? Hum… Sugar day? I got some candy...” He adds showing some white circle things, “-Or something of the like…What d’ya want me to cook?"
Kali smiled at him, "Some stew would be lovely, thanks!" Looking up at the sky through the trees, "It is about lunch time so this will work out. After the stew through lets move to a cave for the night, do you know of any?"
"Yes!" Lee'tak answered very glad to be of help. He got up to gather some wood while he explained, "When I was searching for this guy I sensed the fields there, I don't think it's that far by normal walk but I'd ratter see you rested before moving on..." he gathered three logs and readied a fireplace, then lighted it the normal way, went back for the bag with the meat and their traveling luggage and started cooking.
"At the village, I saw a...Darkborne. At least I think I did, it was awkward. I could read two different electric fields on that one, like if there were two people in one." He retells the story, explaining why he didn't stay and then added. "That's why I want you rested. At the same time, I wanna get to that cave soon. It's ready!" - Lee'tak said smiling; he retrieved two bowls from their luggage, filled them with some stew and carried them to Kaelorra. He sat besides her eating.
The stew in her bowl was gone after a few seconds as she blushed and smiled at Lee'tak, "Sorry, I'm starving!"
"Are you kidding? A good appetite is always a good sign. Besides, you're directly complementing my cooking!" He said getting up. "I'll bring you some more." He got two more bowls and filled all three of them, taking them back to Kaelorra.
"Here, these should be enough, but there's more so don't restrain yourself," Lee'tak said with a smile, before starting to eat again. He took a bite and shouted, comically "Whooo! Damn I'm good!"
Kali flipped on her back laughing, tears streaming down her face as she giggled uncontrollably, one of the bowls of stew almost spilling as she hurried to catch it and eat while wiping her eyes. "Have I ever told you how funny you are?"
"Not in so many 'ha ha's no. But I appreciate it." Lee'tak said controlling his enthusiasm with a laugh. "Glad to know I can make you laugh." he added smiling.
He finished his bowl and laid down on his arms, looking at the sun behind the clouds thinking. "It's been a long walk Kali... but a nice one so far, thanks to you." He left it in the air hanging for only a second before commenting. "You know, I'm thinking... when you and him are ready to be moved, I can transform and carry you two to the cave. It'll only take a few minutes to make the three travels."
Finishing her fourth and final bowl, Kaelorra smiled to herself, " I think.... I can walk." As she went to stand her body swayed and she sat back down with a soft thump. Holding her head, "Okay, maybe not..."
Lee'tak smiled at her with a slight laugh, he walked around taking the bowls and washing them with water, then putting them back in the luggage bag, along with the washed pot. The remaining meat he left it on the ground to decompose or to feed some creatures later. He readied everything and then came back to Kaelorra smiling tenderly, "You, miss, are a very strong lady. That's a lesson I'll never forget." Lee'tak commented scratching his head. "you will be able to walk, but I emphasize the phrase "it'll only take a few minutes." I could get us there NOW, if that guy can be carried. But it's indifferent to me if you rather wait and walk there. Well not indifferent, I rather do it the way you prefer."
He approached Kali from behind and handed her a flask of fruit juice. "Here, to wash down those FOUR bowls of stew." He said, with a slight tone of mockery.
Kaelorra looked down at Sen and nodded while taking the flask, "He can travel, he is alright now, just needs sleep. As for me," She took a drink, "I guess you can carry me, not like I'm a burden to carry anyway..."
"Hehehe that comment stands BEFORE the four bowls of stew." He laughed a little, then tying the luggage to his weapon and moving towards the sleeping Borne. He bent over and squeezed his arm around the man's waist, then lifting him as he stood with a great amount of effort. "GAH! forgot to transform..." Lee'tak said annoyed. He let go of his weapon and cautiously put Sen back on the floor as he gained some distance, transformed and picked up the stuff again and Sen. "Be right back, don't go anywhere" he said before flashing off into a run.
Three minutes later he appears before Kali.
"Alrighty then, you ready?" Lee'tak asked, turning his back to her and crouching. "-grab on!"
She stood, just a little shaky before moving her rapier in its sheath out of the way as she jumped onto his back, "Yahoo!"
"Yahoo??" he asked out loud standing up. "What am I, a horse?" Lee'tak commented before setting off at lightning speed. They arrived at the cave and went into it, a fire was already lit with Sen laid on the ground next to it. "Besides..." Lee'tak added "I thought you were too weak to move." He carefully crouched and waited for her to sit down. "Last stop, get off the carrier and tip the pilot!"
Kali laughed, sliding off onto her butt, still laughing as she rubbed her behind. "How am I to pay you sir?"
"OH! You DON'T wanna know..." He got up and de-transformed, then sat down next to Kali. "Heck I don't even know. I guess I'll put it in your tab, again..."
"I guess so, " She said in a soft voice as a slight blush crept up her neck and she hesitantly looked sideways at Lee'tak, then looked away, the blush making it to her cheeks. Kali flipped her silver black hair out of her eyes before staring at the fire, "This is... a nice cave."
"huh...yeah, of course it is! I picked it after all." Lee'tak commented with a yawn versus narcissistic tone. "You got your rocks there, your entrance there, some more rocks over there. It's beautiful cave." Lee'tak said then thinking "What the hell am I blabbering about?? Take a hold of yourself Lee, gah, I mean GET, get a hold of yourself."
"So, Kali, I don't think we've ever discussed your past..." Lee'tak said, trying to initiate a conversation.
"Well, I lived in a coastal village, just past these mountains by the sea until my parents... died. I moved to the city port of Traihalyr, training in my element and was going to become a mercenary. While I was searching for work I came across a caravan that was going South, so I signed up for that." She smiled at the memory, "When we got to Sethimin, that’s when I met you..." Kaelorra laughed, "You were such a dork."
"What the hell do you mean dork?? I'm as cool as I ever was!" Lee'tak said laughing. "I'm just kidding. I'm proud to be a dork. At the time I was carrying books all the time, studying about my element. But the thing was I was also very nervous because it was the first time I met a KIND and NICE borne since my mate got kidnapped. I kind of didn't want to pass out a bad image." He smiled. "I guess I succeeded. That's a shame, about your parents, I'm really sorry."
Kali shrugged it off, "Its been a long time. I don't really think about them anymore..." She looked at him out of the corner of her eye before smiling again while she tried to slide closer to him unnoticed. "What was you first impression of me?"
Lee'tak gulped in his mind and thought about the answer. He knew he couldn't take too long, but didn't want to say anything embarrassing. "Oh look, a woman Borne! That was my first impression... the rest is quite obvious. I thought you to be a survivor, like me, but with nothing to do, unlike me. You seemed a little sad, I remember thinking about that... definitely interesting. And your transformation just rules, I was literally marveled when I saw an angel actually glow like, a divine light." Lee'tak almost bit his tongue. "I mean... when I saw you actually transform into, like, a divine angel. There's not much doubt or fear in your mind when you see a lightbeing. At least in my case." Lee'tak scratched his head embarrassed. "You also seemed to be pretty decided and headstrong. Other than that... a pretty small girl." Lee'tak flat out added with a mild laugh. "I was amazed when I found out your age."
Kaelorra smiled, "Many do not believe me, I can't help but be small," Her eyes caught his even though when they were both sitting down the top of her head only reached his shoulder. "I... can't help it." She said again in a slightly softer voice.
"I was just kidding Kali, you know I like you the way you are." Lee'tak spilled, then coughing. "Your height!" Lee'tak pointed out. "It doesn't bother me. Your height. Besides, who can criticize how an angel looks? GAH! I mean..." Lee'tak shut up for a minute, thinking to himself, Jeez man, get a grip. Think straight already...
"Lightbeings look like angels," Lee'tak said, slowly and cautiously.
Kaelorra slid her eyes away from his while she laughed softly, noting in the back of her mind that the sun was beginning to fade and hesitantly scooted till their knees were touching. Her cheeks burning with a blush, Kali slowly leaned over until her head rested against the side of his arm and sighed, "We can have that effect."
Don't COMMENT! Lee'tak thought inside his mind with a warning shout as his back tingled a bit with nervousness. Lee'tak yawns and stretches, putting his arm around Kali VERY cautiously. He smiled, a little too loud saying "Yeah...".
He left it hangin for a few minutes but his stomach gave in and he found himself asking, "You think we have to keep patrol watches, in case he wakes up?" He added, embarrassed at himself. "I'm kinda sleepy... and you need your sleep too. Regain strength... and stuff."
She looked at Sen, smiling when she remembered that she had put a sleeping draught in the poultice along with the herbs, "No... I don't think he will wake anytime soon, he had a lot of wounds..." Kaelorra closes her eyes as she snuggled closer to Lee'tak, her body trembling slightly as she fought to relax.
"Uh, okay. You're trembling; are you cold?" Lee'tak asked, very stupidly. "We can sleep together if you want too...GAH!" OH MY GOD! "I mean, next to each other, under the same sheet, garment, herm.... whatever that thing is." Lee'tak felt feverish; he was trying his best not to sweat and to keep his brain rolling, even if clumsily. "Or we can just stay like this, we're, uh, warming each other enough I think. It's nice like this..." He admitted, dejectedly but unable to not smile as he looked at her briefly.
Kali giggled then sighed softly, "I'd like that.." She whispered, meeting his eyes and smiling up at him.
Lee'tak softly leaned his head on Kali's and closed his eyes. He was truly sleepy but due to the circumstances, he stayed awake a little longer, trying to slow down his heartbeats and wondering at the same time if she could hear them... or feel them or whatever. But it was only minutes before he stopped inquiring and thinking and asking and being nervous and shivering; soon, he just embraced the temporary but excessive joy and let his soul and head go to sleep with nothing but good things to ponder on. The time when he never went to sleep with a smile was officially long gone and forgotten.
The Lightborne however wasn't exactly tired at the moment but waited till she could tell he was asleep. Kaelorra moved, slowly so not to wake Lee as she set him gently on the ground once her support was gone. After quickly checking on the injured Borne Kali grabbed a blanket from their packs and pulled it over Lee'taks body then squirmed underneath it too, curling up into a small ball against his chest. With a soft sigh, Kali let sleep take her into it's sweet bliss.
The pain was incredible; the type that left you breathless and gasping for air.
He lay floating in a spectrum of color that shifted and rolled like an ocean’s waves and ever so slowly he noticed the presence of another being in the void of color.
“You almost died-” reprimanded a smooth and beautiful voice that held hidden power, “I was forced to intervene,” Sen stared at her eyes that reflected light.
“I’m sorry Krissin, I underestimated that one Jqura.” He looked around for a second before realizing that the pain was going away,
“-where are we?” The Multiborne Goddess smiled softly, “In a place between voids… Most who come here don’t know they do, for they come here in their dreams, or concerning you, unconsciousness.”
Sen’s eyebrow’s furrowed as he became slightly angry that he had failed her, but she most likely had something to tell him since she was still here.
“They have found you…”
“Who?”
“The ones that have been preparing for a battle, without my intervening, they are healing you.” Krissin said all this in a soft voice of happiness,
“I am slowly becoming weaker and I am very pleased that they have found you. One of them knows my other champion and is searching for him.”
That brought Sen’s eyebrows up,
“How long do we have?”
The Goddess looked away from the Borne and sighed,
“Not long I fear,” Krissin turned back to Sen smiling, “These Bornes are formidable, I have faith that you will prevail,”
The rainbow of colors began to fade as Krissin’s voice pierced the dim one final time,
“Be their friends, stand together and you will be strong, nie unbeatable!”
Sen fought against it but finally succumbed to it, knowing it was no use.
It was morning when Sen awoke groggily, stiff from bandages and the blood on his attire. He held his throbbing head for a moment before standing and almost hitting his head on the cave's ceiling as he cursed to himself. That’s when he noticed the bulk of a man, a Borne under a blanket on the opposite side of the fire. A large metal pole stood propped up next to him along with a saber in a silver sheath. He turned to look around the rest of the cave because there was another presence in the cave that Sen could not identify, but he could tell was there, which puzzled him. When he turned back to the dead fire a pair of glowing red eyes met his not three inches away. Sen yelled in surprise and fell backwards, landing on his butt while the floating being squeaked and dove behind the other man's body.
Sen jumped into a crouched position, preparing for anything when a child's black head appeared, the eyes faded back to brown and the end of it's hair a luminescent silver.
"Hey..." Sen said softly, "Child, I'm not going to hurt you, you can come out, " He said while silently cursing himself for scaring the child.
Kaelorra peeked out between her bangs, still hiding behind Lee before she stood in a fluid movement with a condescending look on her pretty little face, "I am NO child! Lee! Wake up!"
Lee'tak pushed the floor getting up with a flip while transforming into a lightning being, pointing his finger at Sen's head, "You even breathe the wrong way and I'll fry your head. " He threatened, looking around to see the situation. He immediately noticed to his great relief, that Kali was behind him, "You alright Kali?" he also spotted his weapon and felt he should speak to Sen quickly before he could think.
"Don't take us the wrong way, but one must be wary of unknown Bornes. We're the ones who saved your life, so tell me, who are you?" Lee'tak asked, building energy in his finger finally ready to throw a lightning if necessary.
Sen backed away quickly trying to make himself look as small and non-threatening as possible, "I mean no harm, especially to the little miss, I am Sen, Fireborne at your disposal..." The tall men bowed, "May the elements never stay silent," Sen said softly, speaking the traditional greeting to another Borne.
Lee'tak observed him for a few seconds, judging; having a good feeling, he lowered his arm and bowed greeting back,
"...so that good fortune may smile upon us." He transformed back, still a little doubtful, and went to pick up his weapon. Lee didn't like to hang around strangers barehanded.
"So tell me, what's with the hundred of Jqura's that almost killed you?"
"Its... I was hunting it, they surprised me somehow. Um, do you two happen to know a Borne named Warwin with brown hair and dark blue eyes... kind of short, do you know him?" Sen asked cautiously.
Lee'tak almost freaked out. His doubts, his distrust, the fact he didn't know anything about Sen, it all gave way to the most important question in the last 5 years, as far as he was concerned.
"You've seen him? Huh...yes, I know him. We grew up together, I've been trying to find him since he got kidnapped...do you know where he is? TELL me!" Lee'tak pressed on, trying to control his tone and words.
The little Lightborne almost stepped forward to touch Lee's arm but hesitated, then sat down without getting involved.
"I haven't seen him," Sen replied while looking at Kali for a minute, "But I am looking for him."
She met his gaze that she had felt had been on her boldly as her mouth opened a little as she stared up into his eyes that were blue around the pupil then faded to white around the edge.
Lee'tak noticed the exchange of looks and said,
"My name is Lee'tak, she'll tell hers if she wants too. She's aiding me in my search for Warwin... he's my best friend, like a brother. That's my reason. Tell me Sen... What’s yours?"
"I'm... Kaelorra..." She said softly, still trapped in his gaze as her body trembled.
Sen smiled, ignoring Lee'tak completely as he kneeled in front of Kali, still taller then her, "Hello Kaelorra."
Lee's stomach kicked him in the back as his heart tried to pump out the chest. That means he became a little touchy.
"YO! Excuse me! Do not ignore me." He said, slightly pissed.
"It’s a pleasure to meet you..." Sen said, still ignoring Lee'tak and slowly took Kali's small hand in his own and lifted it to his lips.
Kaelorra blushed sharply.
Lee'tak also had his face red, but burning red. He felt an impulse to cut off his head but instead bowed his head and said, more weakly than he wanted:
"I'm gonna make us some breakfast..." He thought better to get some distance, so he'd have time to stop any disrespecting action like...a violent one.
His lips lingered for a moment then he smiled at the other Borne's reaction, though the smile was aimed at Kali who had held her breath through the whole.... greeting,
"Tell me, " Sen asked her in a seducing voice, "How is it that a beautiful Borne like you is traveling through the woods?"
As her blush deepened she looked frantically at Lee before Sen captured her gaze once more.
Lee'tak proceeded with preparing stuff to cook something fast, replying for Kali, out of fear of what tone she'd use:
"We're on the trail of Warwin, it's called a shortcut. Who would have guessed we'd run into you. Now that's being.... lucky," Lee added with a bit of involuntary spite.
"I... we... ah..." Kali stuttered, unable to function properly as the Borne continued to start deep into her eyes, which were unfocused but she tried to fight back, "Y... you see-"
Sen's smile widened, stopping her instantly, "You should be in a city, in a palace surrounded by servants... giving you everything you wanted..."
She wanted to cry out to Lee, to tell him this wasn't what she wanted as her tremblings increased as he still held her hand.
Lee'tak did fight back:
"I disagree. She's an angel, I think she's incapable of even wanting people as her ‘servants’" Lee'tak said implying the tone servants as in slave.
"Besides, she doesn't need a palace to be a princess. That's what's special about her." - Lee'tak complemented so casually that one would say impossible.
Kali pulled her hand out instantly, tears coming to her eyes as she stood quickly and ran past Lee'tak and out the cave, transforming in a brilliance of light.
Sen looked out the way she had gone and turned to Lee'tak seriously, "What are you waiting for?" He grinned, but this time it was sad, "I could tell the way she acted that she... she likes you a lot. What I did, most women can't even utter a sound under that influence, unless their heart was stolen and locked away within someone else..."
"It was all an act? That's even worse! Did you see how she got? No one should wake up to this." Lee'tak sighed calming himself, he couldn't blame Sen... "Have a heart and cook us breakfast alright?" Lee'tak asked, dropping everything in the floor and transforming, walking out of the cave.
When transformed, Lee'tak could always feel something extra... like a sixth sense. He didn't know what it was but with study and help he discovered they were fields. Everything that is has an electric field, Lee'tak could sense their presence. They are all different in intensities, organization of whatever outlines them and other stuff but to notice those differences takes a lot out of Lee'tak. To memorize them even more. He could already tell, with so much practice and exercise, a cave or a river, a storm or a volcano...well, obvious stuff. But people were MUCH harder. It took a whole lot of him each time he tried to perfectly save in his mind, the image and properties of a person's electrical field. He only did it twice, Warwin was the first, Kali was the second.
He ignored his annoying headache as he focused as far and wide as he needed too to pinpoint Kaleorra. Finally he accomplished it; he shook his head to calm down the pain and ran.
He landed on a tree branch; crouched and scared as he worriedly called out,
"Kali...?"
The sound of a sob somewhere above his head turned to open crying.
"C'mon Kali, apparently Sen was just acting... he was just messing around." He hops to the upper branch but doesn't see her. "Herm...I don't understand what's happening. Have we hurt you? Your feelings? Should I have kept my mouth shut and let you deal with it? Tell me what's the matter..." Lee'tak hopped again waiting for a response. "I can always go back and ‘re-educate him’ if yah know what I mean." Lee'tak added as a joke but still in a very worried tone. He regretted it though, but it was said. What's said is said.
Kali appeared floating in the air in front of Lee, her eyes red from her transformation, still dripping with tears and her short hair gold as she looked at Lee'tak but didn't say a word. But her eyes said enough.
He opened his arms to catch her into a hug. That or he'd be making a fool out of himself, but frankly, it was worth the risk.
With a small cry Kaelorra flew into his arms, sobbing into his chest, her words lost as she held on tight, afraid to let go and her eyes and hair returned to their original color.
Lee'tak held her back, hugging her head and back and leaning his head to feel hers.
"There there Kali. It's alright,"
The static around his skin faded as his eyes went back to black, along with his hair. He still didn't know what the hell was happening, but he had the feeling he was helping her, making her feel better...that was always enough for him. Besides, he felt pretty good too, the warmth was just so...warm, tender.
Kali's body shook with sobs until after a few minutes she began to calm down, her breathing coming easier. It was then that she sniffed before she lifted her child-like hands to his face where she stared into Lee'tak's eyes. With tears still streaming down her cheeks she pulled his head down and with hers slightly tilted, she kissed him softly.
Lee'tak didn't even have time to think, not that he WANTED too. He was absolutely hypnotized by her gaze, by her touch, by her soft dear kiss that engulfed him into the happiest moment of his elemental life. A gentleman can't leave a lady hanging, so he kisses back, ready to find out exactly how long he could hold his breath...
As they kiss, Kaelorra sighed into his mouth with ecstasy as her body shivered from her want, her need. Finally admitting it to herself... she had been wanting this for a long time. Though child-like in body, she was indeed a woman and Lee'tak was the man she had been dreaming of. Kali's stomach leapt within her as she wrapped her arms around his head into his hair and her legs surrounded Lee's torso.
Lee lets himself feel all her body, despite her size she had some interesting curves... he responded to the leg hug by transferring his arms to her butt to hold her up, still going for the record on breath hold. He was so much into it he didn't care if he risked falling off the tree; he turned around and leaned her against the central, vertical tree branch. He let one of his hands explore Kali's body, slowly, softly but still firmly as he went to see what her neck tasted like.
She gasped at his touch and couldn't help herself as she giggled, letting him do as he pleased as she squeezed harder with her legs, not wanting a single part of her body to be connected with anything but Lee's. Her small breasts were smashed against his collarbone as she opened her neck to his lips and ran her hands down his back, feeling the curve of muscle beneath his shirt, her mouth open slightly for breath.
"Two minutes" Lee'tak thought. He shivered, feeling Kali's warm hands on his back, letting out an involuntary moan. He was very close to going crazy...this was just too good to be true. He decided his collarbone needed a replacement, thus descending his lips even more, AFTER he looked in her eyes and kissed her again with an excited smile that would never fade. His hand went back down and across Kali's leg as he tried his best to keep her as... comfortable as he undoubtedly was.
Blushing as she felt his lips go further she couldn't stop her body as her back arched and she let out a small sound of deep pleasure. Kali now fought for breath, panting softly as her hands stole beneath his shirt to connect with his heated skin and her eyes closed in contentment as her head dipped to settle her chin on his shoulder, her lips sucking gently on his earlobe.
He also let out a giggle, as manly as possible; he felt so hot, so excited he almost lost feeling in his legs, his back wanting to have a spasm. His blood was boiling but all he could feel was Kali. Kali's hands, Kali's lips, Kali's look and breath and legs and... He raised his head kissing the way up to her lips, when he let go he sighed right in her ear and rhetorically asked,
"May I?"
So lost in her passion it took her a second to realize that he had said something, may he? Kali smiled dreamily, "You didn't have to ask Lee..."
He sighed a smile and started to undress her properly. The armor pieces fell to the ground, as he pushed down his trousers and moved her underwear so he could fit, since he didn't want to bother her legs. He felt her naked body as he thrusted into her, hugging her even more tightly, letting out another relaxed moan. He stood still for a second to grasp the erupting feeling that just kept on building and building, his thighs momentarily trembling, he could only stay still for a second. His body takes hold of the situation, periodically going in and out, without rushing anything. Lee became one with Kali, again and again and again, using the tree behind her as a backup. He felt and appreciated every inch of her being, with all the love he could give.
At first however, Kaelorra was feeling something completely different then Lee. Panic filled her as the pain from his thrusts made her cry out in agony, her hands clawing into the back of his shirt as her virginity was made evident but soon, pain turned to pleasure. Kali panted with each thrust, her body responding with instinct as she moved with him, increasing the rhythm and breathing in gasps.
When it was over, Kali lay still in Lee's arms, sweat covering her skin with a silver sheen and her eyes half-lidded from drowsiness. With her head lying against his chest, she whispered but almost no volume was in her voice, "I- I love you Lee..."
Lee'tak was sweating; still clinging to her as he calmed his breathing and felt Kali's heart slow down with his... he heard Kali's statement that warmed his relaxed heart into a sense of numb bliss. He used the strength he had left to bring his right hand to her chin, lifting it so she was looking straight in his eyes; he smiled. Slowly and tenderly, Lee'tak explained, savoring each word,
"And I love you, my angel." He kissed her shivering lips adding afterwards, still right to her eyes. "-more than anything or anyone, on this and all times. I am in love." He said, somehow grinning more heartily at the last phrase.
She smiled, kissing him briefly before nudging him to let her down. When her feet touched the bough Kali forced Lee'tak down on his butt to relax him and curled up in his lap, her cheek on his shoulder so she could stare at his face.
Lee'tak stood silent for a bit, looking back at her. For a while all there was was smiling, and after that while, Lee'tak kissed her again, he couldn't get enough... he then started to talk,
"We're a bit high aren't we? You think we broke some kind of record?"
Kali giggled, "I... I don't know... maybe..." She nuzzled him under his chin before sighing softly, "I wasn't... planning on this when I came up here, I was just running away."
"Hehehe, a thing so wonderful couldn't have been planned." He smiled. "But I still don't understand...running away from what?"
"It was Sen... He was using some type of magic on me, I couldn't stop him. When I knew you were getting jealous, I just, I couldn't stand it, I found a way to brake free of his hold..." Kali lifted a slender hand to move some of his hair out of his eyes, "But you said he was acting... why was that?"
"He told me to follow you, that he could tell you liked me a lot, bla bla bla. Like if I wouldn't follow you anywhere...why he did it? I can't say, I have no idea why he pulled that off...or how. But, what I do know is that he didn't show intentions of actually... Ah-hem... taking advantage of you. Oh and then there's this," he opens his palms indicating their location. "Suddenly, this is a great day! We can kill all the gods but as far as I'm concerned, THIS is the greatest day of my life." Lee'tak gave a few seconds for the after-effect and then added. "You say he uses magic... well you broke free, and now we're here. Don't worry about it anymore, we'll talk it over to Sen and explicitly explain how I'll do something painful to him if he tries that again." Lee'tak explained proud and always between slight laughs.
"I... I'm sorry, I'm just so happy." He hugged her again, although just briefly.
Kali reveled in his touch and let herself grin goofily, "There is nothing to be sorry about, I am happy too..." she put her hands in her lap as she continued to stare at the one she loved.
He smiled getting back to life and informed Kali that,
"Sen is supposedly cooking for us. Shall we go get breakfast?"
She nearly leapt into the air at the very thought of food, she was starving! "Yes! Lets go, why are we still here, FOOD!" Kaelorra was so excited that she transformed in her eagerness.
Lee'tak didn't move, he just looked up and smiled, amused.
"You might want to get all your clothes back on..." Lee'tak rolled over falling from the branch onto the ground. It was a big jump, but easy for him as he landed and collected his shirt and the rest of his costume, putting it on.
Since she was transformed, she didn't have to jump but simply phased to the ground, her image flickering for a second as she grabbed her shirt and her corset armor. Kali had these on a split second later, "Lets go!"
Lee'tak shouted "See yah there!" while he enthusiastically transformed and set off at lightning speed, hoping to his God Thian that Sen would have apologized to Kali by the time he got there.
Kali appeared in the cave near the back, without a sound as she approached Sen from behind who was busy cooking.
"SO WHAT’S FOR BREAKFAST!!!"
Sen shrieked in surprise and jumped, hitting his head on the cave ceiling, coming to a halt on his back. Kali jumped on top his chest and flicked his nose before smiling triumphantly. "Alright miss," The Borne said with a groan, "I'm sorry alright! I was just playing around and I meant no harm!"
Kali's smile grew wider as she hopped to the ground daintily, "Never mess with a Lightborne," She turned a little to glance at Sen still on the ground, "Apology accepted."
*THUNDER* Lee'tak stood at the entrance "He apologized right?" he transformed back smelling the food. His mind distracts for a second... If Sen actually cooked better than him, he'd feel embarrassed. His mind comes back to him with a big WHO CARES? and looked sharply for an answer.
Sen raised his head from the ground, "Yes, I did,"
Still transformed, Kali nearly tackled him as much as someone as small as she could and hugged him around the waist and said happily, "Food!"
Lee'tak patted her on the head and looked at Sen, "You heard the lady. Food ready?"
The Fireborne nodded and got to his feet before he went to the fire to remove the pan with a few slices of ham that he had found in their bags and a bunch of eggs he had found in some nearby nests. "Its all ready, eat up, I've already eaten..."
Kaelorra nearly pounced on the food, but made sure to only take half as she stuffed the eggs down her throat. She smiled at Lee in between mouthfuls and was finished in a few seconds.
"Damn this girl can eat." Lee'tak took half of the food left, "You can have that, I don't feel very much like eating in the morning." he munched his meat and eggs complementing Sen, "It's pretty good, thanks."
"You're welcome..." Sen smiled and then slowly started to reach for the rest of the food, watching Kali out of the corner of his eye.
Growling, Kali snatched it up and began to wolf it down as well.
"Yeah..." Lee'tak commented to Sen, in between chews, "She also scared me at first. Her love for food is unearthly, but very healthy as you've obviously noticed."
"I see." Sen laughed quietly to himself, then sat silently.
She licked her fingers when she was through and crawled on all fours across the ground towards Lee'tak while purring audibly. Kali curled in his lap like she had done earlier and laid down like a queen cat on a royal chair: Lee.
He smiled gloriously and leaned his head next to Kali's, leaning his arms also on her like a hug. He looked at her, then at the back of the cave when he asked, "So now what? Me and Kali do have that trail to follow but..." he looked at Sen, "-you do seem more trustworthy than a guy blushing and holding on to a wine bottle... so tell me, you got any leads to Warwin's whereabouts?"
"Not really, but I know that I need to find him... soon. We have been told about each other, and know that we must find each other before its to late..."
"To late for what?" Piped up Kaelorra, while looking back at the cave like Lee had done, puzzled.
Lee'tak gently turned Kaelorra's head away from the back of the cave, "Don't worry about it, I'll tell you later," he then looked at the Fireborne, "You were saying?"
Sen shook his head, "I can't say... once we find Warwin, then maybe, but not now..."
Lee'tak looked at Sen, trying to control his small but building frustration. "So...you want us to trust you and help you find our friend when you can't even say WHY? Keeping secrets too even." Lee'tak sighed... completely unsatisfied. Any hope he had for Sen to be the turning point in his search had disappeared. He wanted a second opinion though so he turned to his loved one, "What do you think Kali? If we leave this cavern with him, we'll be trusting him with our lives and backs. That's a big thing..."
"Well..." Kali said thoughtfully, "He IS a Borne, there aren't that many of us... if He was a Darkborne, then maybe I wouldn't trust him, but he knows who Warwin is..." Kaelorra shrugged, "Personally I wouldn't mind if he came."
Lee'tak listened to his love and considered his move for insurance... he finally decided to ask, looking right in Sen's eyes. "Do you swear on your God or whatever is important to you, that the reasons you have to find my friend aren't in any way maleficent? That you mean him or us no harm. I want to listen to you."
Fingering a bell on one of his weapons as his crystal eyes glittered, "I here do swear by the flame of Embar the Empath that I mean you nor Kaelorra nor Warwin any harm. I am here to help save those that want to be free in the near future. So is Warwin; we have the same cause." Sen refused to talk more on the subject, although he did turn away from them to look outside at the light. "We have to find him," Sen said, barely audible, "I can't do this alone..." The man stood there for a few moments before he twitched suddenly and strained his ears.
Kali, her curiosity getting the better of her, did the same and tilted her head, listening. "What did you hear?"
Sen threw his hand back and shushed her, then remained still.
Lee'tak glared at Sen, commenting,
"Don't shush us! What is it?"
The wind whispered through the trees but still, Sen stayed frozen as he stared out into the gloom.
Standing, Kaelorra also stared out, trying to see what Sen was looking for, then she saw it. A flash of red among the green.
Lee'tak followed her gaze outside, curious.
A soft bark sounded within the forest and Sen's face transformed into complete happiness.
"AESHA!"
A fox-like blur ran forward through the brush and landed on his chest, pushing him back down flat on the ground. Living flames danced among the Pyre fox's fur and its small angelic wings as it licked Sen's face with enthusiastic licks. The Elemental creature was slightly bigger than a regular fox, with a short bushy fire tail and wide ears that crackled with flames. It was it's eyes that were the most noticeable; crystal blue, like Sen's. "May I present," Sen managed to say through the licking process, "Aesha, my Pyre fox and Elemental creature."
Lee'tak looked at it absolutely marveled. He let out an enthusiastic "Wow..." before moving in to caress the little fellow.
"She's beautiful." He commented, then talking straight to Aesha. "Your eyes also resemble your partner's. Come on Kali, take a closer look."
The Pyre fox's eyes narrowed as it let loose a small growl.
"Um," Sen laughed lightly, "Aesha's a boy." He continued to chuckle as he rubbed Aesha's ears and beckoning Kaelorra forward.
Kali giggled as she felt the fox's fur. She could feel the fire from Aesha, but it felt warm and didn't burn her hand, "Why, he's so soft... I bet his pelt would bring in quite a lot of money... but this creature is so..." She sighed, "So adorable."
"No money can replace one of these, you know that." Lee'tak commented, scratching his chin. "What kind of name is Aesha anyways? I mean, it's a female name, or at least SOUNDS female." He asked, enjoying himself.
The fox growled again, but this time more softly since Kali was at the moment stroking him under his jaw, "Aesha named himself... if you have a problem with his name, you can take it up with him outside," Sen replied, quick to defend his kin.
Lee'tak turned to Aesha and told him she was crazy,
"I mean, it's chick's name man! Just kidding, don't get upset. So where has Aesha been Sen? And can we get moving? I'd like to cover some distance before sundown." Lee'tak asked, curious but at the same time kind of hurrying.
"Yes, we can go. Aesha was running an errand for me down south near the desert..." Sen stood, pushing Aesha off of him as he dusted himself down.
Lee'tak got up and tied the luggage to his weapon, ready to go, "An errand in the desert? What? Why?"
"I heard a rumor that a Waterborne was keeping water from the locals, so I sent Aesha down there to check it out..." The Pyre fox licked his chops, "-It didn't go so well for the Borne..."
"Aesha brought down a Borne all by himself? That's really impressive! Or... he was a weakass excuse for a Borne." Lee'tak smiled. "C'mon, let's go."
Growling and flapping his small wings in aggitation Aesha trotted out of the cave followed by Sen.
Kali however was in awe about Elemental creatures, "Aesha must be pretty strong to take a Borne out all by himself..." She turned to Lee, "I doubt the Borne was weak,"
"One must consider all possibilities. But yeah, looking at Aesha I don't it mattered whether he was weak or not. C'mon we're out of here." He said smiling. Personally, Lee'tak couldn't wait to get to the next place, Sen's dropping in and his love fulfilled had left a good feeling in him. He believed good things often happen at once, so bad things can happen during the rest of the time.
Skipping ahead and out the cave, Kali shouldered her pack and set out in the direction they had been going before they found Sen and smiled.
Lee'tak took the lead, since he was the one holding the map, and moved forth towards the next step in his search. He wished so hard this wasn't as hollow a lead as all the others were.
With Sen behind them as they moved through the underbrush, Kaelorra walked faster to catch up with Lee and slid her hand in his.
Lee'tak grabbed on to Kaelorra's hand and slowed his pace. Why hurry when good news were brewing? The sun was up, the clouds somehow helped it shine... he felt good.
