Subject: I'll take "Missing" for $1 Million, Alex

Alright, so here's the deal. The debate rages on about whether or not it's right to just leave a search after $1,000,000 has been spent trying to find someone.

If you ask me, then I'm not sure I agree with just giving up, but the evidence stacks pretty heavily against continuing. If you've already spent that much time and money searching, the likelihood of ever finding the person has decreased quite a bit. If they're deceased, they might have been eaten by the time you get to the million mark (gruesome, but true). If they're alive, they're probably in a spot where you won't be able to find with a rescue crew, since you've already sent out enough crews to total 1 mil.

I don't mean to sound cruel, because a life isn't something to just throw away, but you've got to look at where that money is coming from. You've got to think about who you're trying to save too because, and I'll stick to this, not all people are worth the same in this world. After you've spent grand amounts of money looking for a single person, you've got to weigh everything, and the average comes out to $1,000,000. I'd say that's good enough for the majority, and a lot better than some deserve.

Anyways, that's my two cents. Think we can get enough comments to reach our own $1,000,000 mark?

(P.S. Statistically speaking, we will give up on this one subject long before $1,000,000 if we're all only donating $0.02 at a time. It'd take 50,000,000 posts in this one thread, which is just insane... but I figure it'll be fun to try.)
