2. Access to (The WritersCo Community)

We will continually strive to ensure that the availability of the community will remain uninterrupted and that any transmission of data to and from the community is error-free. However, due to the nature of the internet, and external influences, this can not be guaranteed.

At certain periods your access to the community may be restricted to facilitate system repairs, for general maintenance or for backing up information on the community. If this is the case we would aim to inform you of this via the login page.

The crew withholds the right to suspend or permanently ban your account if it is perceived that your actions on or off the WritersCo community are deemed inappropriate, or that you break any of the WritersCo rules or Terms and Conditions of use. (See TaC 4)

3. Licence for website access and use of contained material

The WritersCo owners grant you limited licence to access and make personal use of the community, including creating your own account with stored details, wiki pages with stored content and forum creation and membership.
However you are not permitted, nor hold the licence to download any material that is deemed to be property of the WritersCo community. You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website, or access to it, to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way. You understand that you, and not The WritersCo owners and crew, are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer to us or any other part in the community, and you must use the website for lawful purposes only.

You must not use the WritersCo Community for any of the following:

(a.) For fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offence or other unlawful activity.

(b.) To send, use or reuse any material that is illegal, offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene or menacing; or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy or any other right; or is otherwise injurious to third parties; or objectionable; or which consists of or contains software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any "spam".

(c.) To cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.

(d.) To voice any detrimental or negative comments about WritersCo, other Heddate Communities, their crew or their members on any form of public medium at WritersCo. These mediums include forums, presentations, wiki pages (content section or comment section), or public diary entries.

5. Uploaded Writings

By providing any content to the WritersCo Community:

(a.) You agree to grant us a worldwide, royalty-free right and license to use, display, or archive that material for use on this site, until a date comes when you manually remove it.

(b.) You acknowledge and agree that we have the right (but not obligation), in our sole discretion, to remove any content you provide at any time and for any reason, with or without notice to you.

(c.) You acknowledge that WritersCo does not have any obligation to delete or stop displaying works uploaded by a user no longer wishing to be here or who has been forced to leave. Any member should remove their own work before they intend to leave the community.

7. Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes to the WritersCo community, its policies, and these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions of Use in force at the time that you use the community, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority. If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

8. Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

9. Waiver

If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

As the community is hosted within Sweden these terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.

2006-06-24 [Kiddalee]: Question: if I correct a spelling/grammar error in section 3, and remove "Guestbooks" from 4.d, do I update the "last updated" date? Heck, are these changes even invited from me?

2006-06-24 [Font]: That's fine work away. Yes you should update the 'last updated'.

2006-06-24 [Kiddalee]: *fixes*

2008-01-10 [Calann]: Excuse me, typo-hunting.

>percieved that your actions on or off the WritersCo cmmunity
Section 2, last paragraph.

In section four, before the list, there is a full stop in a funny place.

>respected owners, no publication,
Section 6. Shouldn't there be a semi-colon instead of a comma after 'owners'?

2008-01-12 [Kiddalee]: Yep.

2008-01-12 [Calann]: Afraid you missed 'percieved' which should be 'perceived'. :3
And then there's that period in a completely weird place in section four.

2008-01-15 [Kiddalee]: That period thing is a bug. It was in a different place before I tried to fix it, wasn't it? Or maybe I'm delusional. Well, I guess we ought to bug [Hedda] or somebody.

2008-01-15 [Veltzeh]: I can't see a weird period there. O_o

2008-01-15 [Calann]: That's because it is fixed now. :P

2008-01-15 [Veltzeh]: Ah, [Kiddalee]'s comment made me think it wasn't fixed. X)

2008-01-21 [Kiddalee]: It was, then it wasn't, and I guess now it is again.
