[~*Lonely Wanderer*~]: 264.In ten Years

It’s March 20, 2015 and ten years ago our little web site was created! Let’s take a look at what’s happened along the way!

Recent News:

Our boss, Alan, known as [Font], finally took his long deserved (and needed) vacation. He went to a tropical beach with a sunny paradise and that’s all of the information that he left with us. He deserved it after all of this hard work he has committed to this site!

So therefore, the assistant boss, [RiverStar], is now in charge for the next month and a half (I wish he would have taken me along on that vacation!) She doesn’t plan on changing anything but just making sure everything stays under control.

I would like to congratulate all of the staff for making it through all of the hard times we’ve been through. Also to note with that that we finally have 40 STAFF MEMBERS! (Phew!) So now, some of us who have worked really hard to get this place jumped started, can take a rest! (Kind of what [Font] is doing.)

I would also like to say one additional thing to the recent news category; we now have one million members! We started off very little and very exclusive with invite only, and it still hasn’t changed, but we now have one million dedicated, hardworking, reading and writing members!


Events of the Past:

Does anyone remember when we went through the cyber crash of 2010? The entire United Nations was grieved when they were threatened with their demand. They had threatened a ransom to have all of the power of the oil market and all P.O.W’s that America had captured during the Iraq wars be set free or else. This “or else” wasn’t known about until no one was able to get online on January 1st, 2010. No one had capabilities to bring it back until the crook was found out to be a broke and retired senior citizen in jail. He had sent a virus that acted like a Pac-man game and ate every thing in site. We suffered a lot of damage to Writersco but everyone has pulled through that time of grief.

What’s going on in the world?

Today, Elftown and Writersco stand to be the most popular web sites in history! We’ve gathered so many members online that sometimes I feel like we can’t count them all!

Around the world America had been making headlines. We have discovered a way to fight obesity, which is a leading source to most major killers. With the help of the new president and her campaign to a healthier lifestyle (and yes the first female president had been chosen), schools have cut back on their selling of pop and junk food where obesity targets kids. Also with the fitness program sponsored by her after taking the notice of how President John F. Kennedy did the same thing way back when, America has become fitter and healthier over the years.

Over in Great Britain they have found cure to cancer. This cure was discovered when a doctor had accidentally mixed two chemicals and the results came back positive for a cure. Now, he is rich and famous for an accident in his laboratory.

Robots: are they old news?
Since robots have now become the new maid service at a cheap price, are they becoming older news by the second? Write a fantasy story on a replacement for robots! Deadline is April 3.

Since when?
Have you ever heard of someone telling you about news that was old but you’ve never heard of it before? Write a “since when?” scene! Deadline is April 8.

I personally would like to congratulate all of us who were here when Writersco began to walk because guess what, we’re running with the bug boys (and girls) now. I glad we have mad it through the tough times and the good ones! We’ve pulled through it all and we’re still here ten years later. Hallelujah! Congratulations to ten wonderful years writersco!
