Communal Renku

A renku is a Japanese style of poetry, consisting of a series of short stanzas written by two or more people. They can stand on their own, but each still subtly connects to the one before (don't worry, it can be very subtle). Each one must capture one simple observation, and not get caught up in the past or future or complexity or trying to sound deep or all that lovely Western stuff that is so annoying. That could be hard to do, so just try your best. Even though it's the most important factor, I'll be really lenient in enforcing it.

For this one, keep lines down to 11 syllables or less. Stanzas can be either 2 or 3 lines long. I'll be stricter in enforcing these ones. 11 is a big number. I almost picked 7.

Do not take consecutive turns.

Keep the hate and porn down.

Only play in the comments.

Leave the first line of the text box empty, so that we don't have your username pushing the first line of your stanza off to the side. (No, I won't delete it if you forget.)

Skin, fur, warmth, stink, drool
I give my puppy a hug
Get wet and smelly

2007-01-04 [iippo]:
Muddy pawprints climb up the stairs
Rhythm of claws on tile
Parquet would get scratches

2007-01-05 [Samael_22]:
Bad dog, or maybe not so much
The muddy paws makes him so cute

2007-01-18 [Kiddalee]:
Old colourful cartoons
Renew my inspiration

2007-01-18 [iippo]:
Time has moved the dust
Across the floor and over the shelves.

2007-03-15 [Kiddalee]:
Watching me leave through the dark entrance hallway,
The house sighs with relief at its new solace.

2007-05-21 Ronin:
Darkness envelops the house,
The porch light guides me home.

2007-07-27 [Kiddalee]:
Fireflies give morse-code
Signals from the trees and grass.
I am surrounded!

2007-08-07 [iippo]:
Mist creeps across the lawn
Refreshing and renewing the world.
Ready for a new tomorrow.

2007-09-10 [Kiddalee]:
The sun draws up mist
To veil the golden birches
In his presence.

2007-12-18 [iippo]:
His caresses cause shudderings
In even the most hardened hearts.
