Graphics Update!

All of the images in Writersco Graphics have been updated in some way to match the new stylesheet. In other words: the colours match again! Most were made into transparent GIF images, but a few were just changed to match the new colours. Since people use both stylesheets, GIFs were used wherever possible.

If you already have these images in your houses, you'll need to replace them, as they won't update automatically. If you've never been to Writersco Graphics, then this is a great time to start!

If individual artists are unhappy with the changes made to their images or have questions, they should message [Nightshadow] with their concerns.

Staff badges were also updated so that they're presentable again.

EDIT: Images from Shanra's Wiki weren't included in this update, as it's not a community-maintained page.

Scams To Avoid

Bookmark Scams!

This page will help you know who in the writing world is out to cheat you: vanity publishers pretending to be traditional, contests which aren't even judged, and agents who make more money charging reading fees than helping you sell your manuscript; these are all things to look out for.

Also, if you know of any scams that aren't listed on the page, the Resource Team would greatly appreciate you tipping us off.

Happy Birthday!

<img:stuff/birthday-banner-main.jpg>

Yes one year today our little community opened its doors to the public, starting out with a very blank sheet with nothing related to writing at all!

We have all experienced a few bumps along the way, but any thing that can knock us down can potentially always make us stronger, and as a result on many occasions, the community of WritersCo has bonded, grew, and became a stronger group.

Let's not forget the writing! We have had some great pieces of work over the year, and recently with the pop up with two Writing groups Flipside and Free to write members have been given the opportunity to express themselves in a more tight-knit setting, working on their writing skills whilst having a lot of fun!

We hope that WritersCo can continue to grow as a community, with more members joining, and participating in what is on offer.

To celebrate the Year gone by, and many more productive and enjoyable ones to come, here are some events!
