How does that rating thing work exactly? Who can rate and what's the highest thing you can put? Can you change your rating afterwards?

Subject: Uploading File Format (Texts: 3 )

So, if I'm to upload a file instead of typing directly into the superwiki, what kind of file should I prepare?
Can it be rtf? Should it be a plain txt saved as html? If it should be, do I leave out any tags (such as <html> or <body>)? Or must it somehow adhere to the standards of your pseudo html?

I don't understand all of the terms in the License function. Specifically, what's the difference between "Free for reading" and "Free for private usage"?

Subject: So what is fan fiction? (Texts: 20 )

I think it's been up before, but I lost track of it and couldn't find it... :P So if I actually got an answer, please link me.

It happened that I made an original character for an X-Men RPG. I wrote a story about that character, and it only vaguely has reference to the X-Men universe. I also made a comic about this character and a few other original characters created by other people.
Now, would the story about the character or the comic be fanfic according to the rules? By Elfwood's rules it would be but this isn't Elfwood, so... XD Also, if it's not allowed, would it be if I removed the references so that a random person couldn't tell it's fan fiction? If it is allowed, would I need to state that I have permission from the original character creators to upload the stuff I wrote/drew about their characters?

Secondly, I wrote a story about a character I created for a friend's RPG. I'm essentially using this friend's world in the story.
Would that be fan fiction according to the rules? Would it be okay if I had the RPG creator's permission?

I broke my index I think.

I think I have accidentally hidden one of my stories, and now I can't find it anywhere to UN-hide it.
What did I do? >_>

Subject: Copy/Pasting Text (Texts: 2 )

So, on copy/pasting text directly from a document file... when pasting the text into the writersco description box on the writing upload page, all of the indents are missing (those performed using the 'tab' key) and the writing is all left justified. Is there any way to get around this, or would it be more economical to simply upload the document?

Is there, or shall/should there be, a wiki akin to Elftown Graphics around writersco? If so, I'd be happy to donate some of the relevant ones from my graphics thingy to here.

If I may ask, what is the difference between creating a sisterpage and a subpage when uploading material? I'm sure its around somewhere, but I haven't been able to find any info on it just yet. ^_^

Last night I uploaded a poem thingy in my writings, and when I go into my writings - it doesnt show up. It does show up if you go to "the writings' button at the top though.

And also - now my house says it has no writings, but when I click it - there is???

Alright...so I know that Vel has already asked about the violence and abuse and whatnot. I understand that it is still under consideration, and I appreciate that. However...are fanfics allowed? Just out of curiosity. X)

Subject: What is allowed... (Texts: 10 )

I already asked on the Rules page, but seem to have gotten no reply (yeah, it was just yesterday, but I'm impatient), so I'll ask here in case this place is more active.

Are sexually explicit and overly violent stories allowed?
