I changed a priv and got these:

Message on the page:
Old priv: 101 New priv: 99

In the URL
&message=Old%20priv%3a%20101%20New%20%3Ca%20href%3d%22wiki.html%3fname%3dprivs%22%3Epriv%3C%2fa%3E%3a%2099

The link gets spelled out literally, which shouldn't happen.

It is sad to see how lonely this place is now. I stop by every now and again hoping to see it bustling again. We may just need to start putting the news out there about this site again. Making people aware that it's still here.

And by removing my privs... I can't remove the WritersCo elements.

The following things will require removing.
- Any imagery created for the WritersCo (www.writersCo.com) community.
- The shoutbox, as it is a paid item belonging to www.writersco.com should not be displayed on http://writersco.heddate.com/

would you be able to remove these please.

Thanks

wait.......I am -really- confused, wth is going on?

I get an email telling me that the URL has changed because the old one goes to a totally different site, then I get an update from Facebook telling me that the URL is staying the same, everything's getting reformatted so we'll have to rejoin yadda yadda and all that jazz.......then I log in here, and there's an update saying that this place is going to be gone......and then hedda says it's not going to be gone.

what
the fuck

get your shit together guys, seriously, because this is confusing as fuck
what is going on?

Subject: Community! (Texts: 1 )

Hi everyone!

Thought this would be the best place to bring this up, hoping that we would get the most responses here.

I wanted to discuss the future of WritersCo, as you may have noticed things from the crew end have started to die down a bit, and it has been a continual struggle to maintain and encourage growth on the community. I have much less time nowadays than I had previously, and I feel I cannot commit or be dedicated to WritersCo. trying to find dedicated replacements for crew who are willing to support and help WC grow on a regular basis is difficult, even with the support of the crew that can help out when they have free time.

I have suggested an option below, some may think it quite severe:

1. We move elements of WritersCo to Elftown - It has a larger community and it might be easier to network there with other members. We can create a wiki for writersco, and a forum. As we have a small number here I think that this would be the best option, it would give people more of a community feel as everyone would be equal. People would have more freedom to create sub-wikis etc. It would o course mean manually transfering our work over to wiki pages there.

WC member suggestions?

Subject: Extra field cluttering the writing pages (Texts: 3 )

There's a completely unnecessary field called "Heading" on the writing pages, cluttering the interface. Since it's not used for anything, could it be possible to just get rid of it?

Is there anyone out there that would like to volunteer to help do some images for WritersCo, perhaps even help give it a bit of a make over and make it more welcoming?

The new Ezine looks great by the way, but shouldn't we come up with a name for it besides "Writersco Ezine"?

Subject: More Public Works (Texts: 36 )

[Ash] gave me some ideas for making this town more exciting.

... I have this little idea that I think might add a bit more fun to Writersco. I believe if we add a monthly theme to the entire site, it would spice it up a bit. Then we could have a Writersco competition, not like the private ones, but where the winners get front page at the end of the month, and it can be voted on by the public so it involves more people....

What does everybody think? Should the monthly theme be visual, or should it also involve things to write about? Maybe it doesn't need to be visual at all, since coming up with a brand new visual theme every month would be a lot of work. As for getting a writing idea out of it, maybe the monthly public contest could be a free-for-all contest relating to the monthly theme? There could be a maximum line or word count, and different categories for poetry, prose and nonfiction. This sounds like fun, but interest is key.
